Polyflow announces the availability of Thermoflex® PE for cold-weather applications at the 2015 Bakken Conference & Expo

New pipe will be able to manage sub-freezing temperature, increasing profitability and pipeline longevity for oil and gas operators in cold-weather climate

logo-2x-bannerPolyflow, LLC, the leading manufacturer of spoolable reinforced thermoplastic pipe (RTP) for transporting hydrocarbons, water, and other fluids and gases, today announced the launch of Thermoflex® PE, a lightweight, easy-to-install polyethylene pipe for cold weather climates. Thermoflex PE will be on display at Polyflow’s booth, number 506, at The 2015 Bakken Conference & Expo taking place from July 27 – 29, 2015 at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Production of Thermoflex PE is currently underway and will be available in various sizes and pressure ratings.

Thermoflex’s unique polymer construction and aramid fiber reinforcement deliver unsurpassed resistance to hydrocarbons in sour and sweet environments around the world. With Thermoflex PE, now operators in cold environments can benefit from its resistance to corrosion and cyclical loading. This allows oil and gas exploration and production companies in the Bakken and other northern regions to get wells flowing faster for increased profitability while enhancing safety, reliability and longevity.

“There is a need in the market for pipe that can withstand tough climates, and as a specialist in RTP, we have the experience and knowledge in place to develop a product that is a better choice than steel or other plastic pipe in the Bakken,” said Jim Moore, CEO of Polyflow. “Located in one of the country’s largest oil and gas producing regions, the Bakken Conference & Expo brings together the right group of industry experts who can take advantage of all that Thermoflex PE has to offer.”
