COMMONSThe Watford City, ND multi-use development, Stenehjem Commons, is now shovel-ready for commercial, residential and light industrial projects. With roadways, streetlights and infrastructure (sewer, water and storm) complete, Watford City Real Estate Group is now offering pad-ready sites, with all city services, near the intersection of Business Highway 85 and the new North Dakota Highway 23 Bypass, the second busiest intersection in North Dakota. Aptly named, the development pays tribute to the Stenehjem family, a life and business force in the community for more than 100 years.

Stenehjem Commons, along with several other Watford City Real Estate Group opportunities, sits at the epicenter of North Dakota’s oil and gas industry. The vast majority of oil and gas produced in the state’s Bakken Shale play are concentrated in four counties: Dunn, Mountrail, Williams and McKenzie counties. As the price of oil ebbs, the industry’s regional offices are aggregating around the Watford City area, where more than one-third of the Bakken’s most efficient rigs are operating.

Calling itself the city that reinvests in itself, Watford City boasts ongoing projects that include a new high school, event center and medical complex, law enforcement center and municipal golf course expansion. With the area’s per capita and household incomes expected to grow by as much as 207% from 2010-2025, it now seeks developers and investors with the vision to grow along with the community.
