Harold Hamm, chairman and CEO of Continental Resources, will deliver the opening keynote address for Hart Energy’s DUG Bakken and Niobrara conference and exhibition set for April 2-4, 2014. The event comes one month earlier this year and once again will take place at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado.
Hamm is expected to reveal his company’s future plans and discuss how Continental Resources built its enviable position in the Bakken-Three Forks play. From full-scale development projects to extensive testing of down-spacing parameters, Continental Resources is aggressively implementing its strategy to continue increasing its oil production. It is also closely focused on improving margins, from honing well costs to improving efficiencies in field operations.
In addition to being a CEO, Hamm is chairman of the board of directors of the general partner of Hiland Partners LP and the general partner of Hiland Holdings GP, LP, and a founding board member of the Oklahoma Energy Resources Board. Recently, he co-founded the Domestic Energy Producers Alliance to preserve the markets for oil and gas produced in the United States.
